We specialize in quality units from Carrier and will help you select an air conditioning unit that meets your budget requirements. Our 13-Point Spring Air Conditioner Tune-Up is a smart move in ensuring optimal performance for your A/C. We also offer Air Conditioning service plans with Hydro-Air or Furnace Add-on plans.

Our Air Conditioning Service Plan includes an annual tune-up, plus the significant addition of major air conditioning parts/services. It also provides maximum protection and peace of mind as well as coverage of 16 valuable parts and services! In addition, this plan includes a 10 percent discount on air conditioner repairs, performed by Dominick Fuel, Inc., not covered under this plan.

Combo Air Conditioning / Hydro-Air Add-On Plan.
Hydro air technology combines the best of hot water and hot air heating. Heat is generated by a boiler but distributed as heated air. The heated water is piped through an air handler where the heat is transferred from hot water coils to the air, which is then distributed to rooms through ductwork. If a central air conditioning system is integrated, the ducts perform double duty for heating in the winter and cooling in the summer. Dominick Fuel's Combo Air Conditioning/Hydro-Air Add-On Plan covers all the parts listed under the Air Conditioning Service Plan, plus labor for this type of system.

Combo Air Conditioning / Furnace Add-On Plan
This add-on plan includes a comprehensive maintenance check for both your oil-fired furnace and air conditioner when combined with a primary heating plan or extended protection heating plan, plus one year's protection from costly furnace or A/C repairs. Dominick Fuel's Combo Air Conditioning/Furnace Add-On Plan covers all the parts listed under the Air Conditioning Service Plan plus labor for this type of system.

Equipment

A new, energy-efficient air conditioning unit will save you money and keep you comfortable for years. We recommend central air conditioners that are ENERGY STAR® qualified. This means that the units have met strict energy efficiency guidelines set by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and the Department of Energy. ENERGY STAR® qualified central air conditioners have a higher seasonal efficiency rating (SEER) than standard models, which makes them about 14 percent more efficient than standard models.

Dominick Fuel installs a variety of air conditioning equipment, including split ductless systems that are perfect for retrofitting because they do not use traditional, full-size steel ducts.

Our 13-Point Spring Tune-Up

A worthwhile investment you can make in your home is an annual tune-up, which is included in all three Dominick Fuel, Inc. air conditioning service plans. A qualified specialist will examine your air conditioning system every year, looking for - and correcting - potential problems before they occur. Maintenance will be performed once a year between April 1 and September 1 (Weather Permitting). Our air conditioning tune-up keeps your A/C system running at peak efficiency all summer long.

An annual tune-up includes:

1. Lubricate & check all moving parts, including bearings, blower motor, condenser fan (and adjust belt, if applicable).
2. Evaluate condition of air filters; replace with standard disposable fiberglass filters.
3. Check evaporator coil.
4. Check refrigerant charge; additional refrigerant requires an extra charge plus labor.
5. Test "temperature drop" at return and supply air.
6. Install gauges and check operating pressures.
7. Check condensate to make sure draining at the time of visit to help protect against overflow.
8. Tighten and safety test all wires and connections.
9. Check controls for proper operation.
10. Test operation and condition of compressor contacts.
11. Inspect, start and run capacitors and inspect relays for bulges, rust and leaks.
12. Check outdoor condenser coil.
13. Inform customer of equipment condition. Recommend A/C repairs when necessary.
